Swansea Pre-Match Report

Premier League new-boys Swansea were humbled 4-0 by Manchester City on Monday night but did show some decent football in the first-half. They have been written off as relegation candidates by most pundits and will therefore be keen to prove their worth.
Swansea captain Gary Monk is a doubt for the clash at the Liberty Stadium with a foot problem but will be given a chance to prove his fitness. Left-back Neil Taylor is available again after suspension and should take his place in the side.

Wigan Pre-Match Report

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez returns to old club Swansea for the first time since his departure in 2008. The two clubs met in last year’s Carling Cup with Wigan emerging with a 2-0 victory. They opened up their Premier League account with a 1-1 draw with Norwich last week and will see this game as an ideal opportunity to gain some early momentum in the league.
Wigan are likely to be without Steve Gohouri as he continues his recovery from a calf problem but Rodallega should return despite lacking match fitness. James McCarthy had an injection in his ankle in order to play last week and should be available again.
