6)Norwich City v Stoke City Preview (Sunday 21 August 1.30 pm)
Norwich City Pre-Match Report
Carrow Road welcomes back Premier League football as Norwich play host to Stoke on Sunday. The Canaries will be looking to build on the point they gained from the opening weekend against Wigan. They suffered just four league defeats last season with the last of those coming way back in December. The history books also point to a Norwich victory with only one of the last 13 meetings between the two ending in an away victory.Norwich centre-back Zak Whitbread is a doubt for the match with a knee injury but may make the starting 11 and new signing Daniel Ayala could also feature. Striker James Vaughan and centre-back Elliot Ward are sidelined after picking up knee injuries during pre-season. Loan star Kyle Naughton could also make his debut.
Predicted Team: Ruddy, Martin, Whitbread, De Laet, Tierney, Crofts, Surman, Hoolahan, Fox, Holt, Morison.
Stoke City Pre-Match Report
Stoke enter the match off the back of a 1-0 victory over FC Thun in the Europa League on Thursday evening. Tony Pulis will be hoping the clash has not taken too much out of his side as they look to build on the point they secured against Chelsea last weekend. They have failed to score in seven of their last nine away games however and picked up just two points from their last 10 away games in the league.Stoke remain unscathed after coming through mid-week with no injuries with Ricardo Fuller (Achilles) and Danny Higginbotham (knee) remaining their only absentees. Jonathan Woodgate should come back into the team in place of Matthew Upson whilst Asmir Begovic and Glenn Whelan will start the match.
Predicted Team: Begovic, Wilson, Shawcross, Woodgate, Huth, Pennant, Delap, Whelan, Etherington, Jones, Walters.
