After graduating from the Film Art Department at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, Son made her debut in the lead role of the MBC drama Delicious Proposal (Sweet Proposal) in 2001. Her big-screen debut came in Secret Tears (2000). In 2002 she won the 22nd Korean Federation of Film Critics "Best New Actress Award" for her role as Soo-In in Lover's Concerto (2002). Her moving acting in the movie The Classic (2003) earned her several other awards as well as international recogniton (see Awards). In 2008 she won "Best Leading Actress" for her role in My Wife Got Married at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.
4) Kim Hee Sun 김희선 / 金喜善 is a South Korean actress from Seoul who has been acting in Korean TV dramas and films for over a decade. She is popularly known as the "first beauty of South Korea". In 2005, she starred alongside Jackie Chan as a Korean Princess in The Myth.
3) Kim Tae Hee 김태희 / 金泰熙 is a South Korean actress from Ulsan. Kim, who received a bachelor degree in fashion designing at the Seoul National University, rose to stardom via her portrayal of the evil stepsister in the popular SBS TV series Stairway to Heaven.
2) Lee Hyo-Ri 이효리 / 李孝利 is a South Korean singer and actress. She started off as part of the successful K-pop girl group Fin.K.L, but has since become a solo artist. Her first album was very successful, winning many "Daesangs" (a Korean award equivalent to "Artist of the Year") for that album. She has since become the highest-paid female singer in South Korea.
1) Song Hye-Gyo 송혜교 / 宋慧敎is a South Korean model and actress. Song made her debut by winning the Grand Prize in model search in SunKyung Smart and starring in a Sunday morning drama called Happy Morning (KBS, 1996). She starred in number of hit dramas including All In, Autumn Fairy Tale, and Full House. Due to her popularity she can be seen frequently on advertisements when she is not acting. She is currently signed to Eden 9 talent agency.
